Mr Michael Carlin

mr-michael-carlin Michael Carlin is a solicitor and has been in practice as such for 35 years.

His work as a solicitor has predominately been in the courts, both criminal and civil. In addition to his legal qualifications, he has a B.Sc in Psychology and an M.Sc in Forensic Psychology.

He has given evidence as an expert witness in relation to forensic psychological issues. He is an associate lecturer with the Open University, teaching cognitive psychology and lectures on a variety of post doctorate courses in relation to the role and function of the expert witness. He has published papers on the role of the psychologist in relation to assessment of persons with learning difficulties, on the selection of the appropriate expert, and on the understanding of the police caution.
